REBECCA TAMEZ, MD

Dr. Rebecca Tamez is a board certified adult and pediatric dermatologist with expertise in medical dermatology. Prior to joining Jamaica Hospital she was Chief Resident of dermatology at North Shore/LIJ Medical Center on Long Island. She completed her medical training at New York University with residencies at New York Presbyterian-Columbia University Medical Center and Hofstra-Northwell Health System. She is from South Bend, Indiana and pursued an undergraduate degree in Biology from Purdue University. The research of Dr. Tamez has been published in numerous peer-reviewed publications as well as abstracts and oral presentations. She has also worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a staff scientist and microbiology intern. She enjoys volunteering at skin screening programs at the Mexican Embassy of New York.
